Putting the fun into Fundraising!

A group of seven S3 students from Firrhill High School have just put the finishing touches to a video promoting fundraising activities for Waverley Care.

Participating in the school’s annual business placement programme, the students spent two days based at Waverley Care Milestone, our residential unit for people living with HIV or Hepatitis C.

Their brief was to devise, film and edit a short video to encourage other young people to participate in fundraising activities. The resulting video, which you can watch below, shows the students participating in a range of activities including running, skydiving, participating in the X factor and creating fountains with diet coke!

The students also had the opportunity to learn more about HIV and the work of Waverley Care and we hope that their knowledge and understanding will help in raising broader awareness amongst this age group.

Most of all everyone involved had fun and the video is a useful tool for Waverley Care. We’d like to say a massive thank you to Honor, Nicola, Oskar, Anna, Jordan, Kieron and Meg for all their hard work.

About Waverley Care
Waverley Care was established in 1989. Since then we have constantly adapted and responded to the changing face of HIV, incorporated Hepatitis C into our work and developed new areas of focus. Our aim is to ensure that people living with HIV or Hepatitis C are able to live full and fulfilling lives within their communities.
