Vintage at The Village
February 14, 2011 1 Comment
This weekend saw the hanging of a collection of canvases of vintage adverts from Bacardi, Martini and Jack Daniels at The Village in Leith. The exhibition of 20 boxed canvas heritage prints runs until 20th March with the official opening night taking place on 19th February.
The canvases will be for sale with money raised going to Waverley Care and Fairbridge, who support young people aged 13-25 to overcome issues such as drug and alcohol misuse, crime and unemployment. With some classic ads from the 1920′s from Bacardi and Martini as well as some more recent prints from Jack Daniels this is a great collection.
The opening night party will take place from 7.30pm on the 19th February and is sponsored by Bacardi. There will be free cocktails, mojitos of course, as well soft drinks for those driving so why not join us and help support two local charities while enjoying the friendly atmosphere of the exhibition space at The Village.

With the first of the prints sold on the day they went up this looks like it’s going to be a popular exhibition so get in there first to get your hands on the one you want!
